Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard is reportedly doubtful to face Manchester United in the Premier League opener at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Belgium international picked up a groin injury in a pre-season friendly against Tottenham Hotspur last month and has since not played for the club.
Trossard has returned to training this week and speaking in his pre-match presser, manager Mikel Arteta said that he needs to be assessed.
Even if he is deemed fit, it is unlikely that he will start on the left wing against the Red Devils, given his lack of minutes over the last few weeks.
Gabriel Martinelli is a frontrunner to start on the left wing but Noni Madueke could be in contention too after a lively cameo against Athletic Club.
Arsenal go into the game as potential favourites, but they won't take things for granted, given United have bolstered their attack with many signings.
With the presence of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko, the Red Devils are a much better attacking unit compared to last season.
