Gomis sees off Ecuador

Gomis sees off Ecuador

27 May 2008 - 21:24

Bafetimbi Gomis had the dream debut for France as he scored two goals to see off Ecuador 2-0 in France's preparation for the Euro 2008 tournament.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Gomis has been the subject of transfer interest all summer, and there have been reports of a £8 million deal to Newcastle.

The St. Etienne man gave Raymond Domenech food for thought though, as he prepares for the Euro 2008 tournament and choosing a forward pair.

Gomis came off the bench to star in a cameo role, as his first goal he took the ball down well then fired past Elizaga in the Ecuador goal.

The second wasn't too far away, and Gomis smashed home the second after some neat build up work from Samir Nasri and Nicolas Anelka.

France's build up for the Euro 2008 tournament may have just caused even more of a headache for Domenech.
