Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana could be returning to his former club Inter Milan, after reports from Italy suggested that the Nerazzurri have made a £30 million offer for the former Ajax shot stopper. Man Utd are chasing Gianluigi Donnarumma as a replacement for Onana, expecting a deal to be concluded before the transfer window closes, but seek to sell Onana before September 1st.
Inter Milan currently play 36-years-old Yann Sommer between the sticks, and the Swiss stopper had an excellent campaign last season, helping his club to the Champions League Final, losing to Paris St Germain.
Donnarumma is expected to move to England, with Man Utd the Italian's preferred destination, and the Cameroon international keeper Onana is now no longer needed at Old Trafford.
Onana was very popular in Italy, playing 24 league games for the Serie A outfit before United paid £43.7 million for the Cameroonian first choice in 2023. However, in recent times Onana has suffered with criticism from Manchester United supporters, and former manager Erik Ten Hag - who was a huge fan of Onana - has since left.
