Arsenal are keen on securing the long-term future of defender William Saliba amid interest from Real Madrid, according to Fichajes.
The Gunners have had Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes as their regular starters in the heart of the defence over the last few years.
Gabriel ended speculation by penning a long-term deal earlier this year, but there are still doubts over Saliba's future at the club.
The Frenchman's deal does not expire until the summer of 2027, but the Gunners don't want him to enter the last year of his contract.
Talks are underway with the player and his representative. The Gunners are keen to ward off interest from Los Blancos for his services.
Alongside Saliba, the Gunners are also working hard to sort out the future of Bukayo Saka whose contract expires in June 2027 too.
The Gunners graduate has already hinted over a renewal. It appears only a matter of time before the club commit him to an improved deal.
