David Beckham has praised his team mates for helping England to a 1-0 victory over USA in the friendly match on Wednesday. It was Beckham's 101st cap for the Three Lions, and Beckham played a part in the result as he set up John Terry for the opening goal.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • "In the first half we found it tough to break then down and keep the ball but in the second half I think we passed it a lot better," Beckham told Sky Sports News.

"It is important that we win these games and keep performing but there is still a lot of disappointment that we are not in the European championships.

"I was proud to get the 100th cap and it was also a proud moment to receive something like that from Sir Bobby Charlton."
