Chelsea are open to the possibility of signing Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen on loan during the January transfer window, as per Teamtalk.
The west London giants currently have Robert Sanchez as the regular shot-stopper in the Premier League, while Filip Jorgensen has started in the Cup competitions.
Sanchez has been particularly error-prone between the sticks, but he continues to receive the support from manager Enzo Maresca. This could change in the New Year.
Ter Stegen has been out since the summer after a back surgery, but the German is touted to return to regular training during the festive period.
He is no longer a guaranteed starter for Barcelona, and reports claim that he could be loaned out in January to keep himself fit before the World Cup.
Ter Stegen is expected to start for Germany between the sticks at the global tournament, and he is open to pursuing regular playing time elsewhere.
Chelsea could emerge as a leading candidate for his services.
