Manchester United have accelerated their pursuit of Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson ahead of the winter transfer window.
The Red Devils were determined to land a new midfielder last summer. They were interested in Brighton's Carlos Baleba, but were priced out of a deal.
Conor Gallagher emerged as a loan target before the deadline, but Atletico did not entertain such a proposal. They wanted a permanent transfer.
United are expected to revive their pursuit in the New Year and it is claimed that they are now keen on landing Anderson from the Tricky Trees.
Anderson has made immense progress for club and his country England this year, and he has been touted to join a bigger outfit pretty soon.
United are aware of the increasing interest in the midfielder, and they are keen on landing his signature as soon as the window reopens.
The club will reportedly need to pay around £70 million for the former Newcastle United man, who is open to a bigger challenge.
