Arsenal are reportedly keen on landing the signature of Levante striker Etta Eyong during the January transfer window.
The Gunners bolstered their attack last summer with the acquisitions of Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze.
Gyokeres has had a good start to his career with six goals thus far. He has had a high workload with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus injured.
Havertz and Jesus are expected to return in the coming weeks, and there appears no reason for another striker in the near future.
Amidst this, Sport claim that Arsenal are most interested in landing Eyong, who has a €40 million release clause for foreign clubs.
The 22-year-old has already represented two clubs in Villarreal and Levante this season and can't play for another due to FIFA regulations.
However, he can still be registered by a third club. The Gunners reportedly plan to sign Eyong before loaning him back to Levante.
Eyong has bagged six goals and three assists in La Liga this season.
