Arsenal have their sights on landing Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy as a replacement for Gabriel Jesus during the winter transfer window, according to Fichajes in Spain.
The Gunners are presently top of the league standings. They are widely considered as the frontrunners to win the Premier League and thereby end a prolonged title wait of more than two decades.
The club invested in Viktor Gyokeres to bolster the striking department last summer. Alongside him, they have Jesus, Kai Havertz and Mikel Merino, who can all operate as central strikers.
Fichajes now cite that Arsenal are actively looking to offload Jesus and his exit is imminent. The Gunners seriously want to land Guirassy as a successor to the Brazilian forward.
Guirassy has seven goals and four assists for Dortmund this campaign. He has a special release clause worth €50 million, which will be active when the transfer window reopens.
Arsenal are one of the clubs eligible to trigger the reported clause and it remains to be seen whether the hierarchy go forward and make a formal move for the Guinean star.
