Arsenal duo Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz could be absent for the Premier League derby against Chelsea on the road on Sunday.
The Gunners have been in fantastic form this campaign, and they have handled injuries with ease due to the vast depth and quality in the squad.
Arsenal take on their arch-rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tomorrow and ahead of the game, Gyokeres and Havertz are still deemed doubtful.
Gyokeres and Havertz have been nursing hamstring and knee injuries respectively, and Arteta has hinted that the game may come too soon for them.
He said: "Clear not yet, but they are getting closer and closer, so we are very positive with both of them. The good thing is that now we find another option."
If that is the case, midfielder Mikel Merino is expected to lead the attack once more as Gabriel Jesus may not be involved for the Gunners as well.
Jesus scored in a behind-closed-doors friendly game in midweek, but Arteta is unlikely to rush him back after a serious knee injury last winter.
