Fabrizio Romano has provided a fresh update on the ongoing speculation linking Mohamed Salah with a winter move to the Saudi Pro League.
The Egypt international has had a tough start to the campaign with the Reds and he has found himself as a substitute in the last three matches.
He did not come off the bench during the 3-3 draw against Leeds United.
Salah has publicly said that he is being made the scapegoat for the club's poor run of league form and hinted that he could be on his way out in January.
Amidst this, Romano has revealed that there has been no direct contact between the Reds and any Saudi club regarding a mid-season transfer.
The reputed journalist revealed that Salah has not spoken with any Saudi teams either. The situation could yet change over the next few weeks.
Salah is due to report for the Africa Cup of Nations after one more week and he may have already played his final game for the Anfield giants.
