Arsenal have included Gabriel Jesus in their A-List squad for the league phase of the Champions League following an ankle injury sustained by Max Dowman.
The Brazil international has not played a competitive game for the Gunners since January due to a knee injury, but he has been stepping up his fitness in training in recent weeks.
Jesus has now been registered in the A-List squad in the Champions League as an injury replacement for Dowman. The teenager sustained an ankle injury while playing for Arsenal Under-21s last weekend.
The setback is not said to be severe and Dowman is anticipated to return as early as next month. However, the 15-year-old won't be involved in Europe until the knockout phase of the European competition.
Meanwhile, Dowman will be eligible to make the List-B squad when he turns 16 and only needs to be registered on every matchday.
Jesus has been playing in behind-closed-doors friendly and he could make his long-awaited comeback against Club Brugge tomorrow.
