Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has spoken about the importance of Reece James following the 2-0 Premier League win over Everton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Blues returned to winning ways with an impressive display against the Toffees at home. Cole Palmer and Malo Gusto were the goalscorers for the west London giants.
Speaking after the 2-0 victory, Maresca was asked about the condition of James, who has played 90 minutes in each of the last three matches for the Blues.
Maresca said that James is 'getting better and better' and he is an important player, he said: "He's asking for more. He's getting better and better. It's a good feeling for us. He's an important player for us."
Chelsea have moved into fourth spot with their first win in four league games. They are assured to keep their place if Crystal Palace fail to beat Manchester City at home.
The Blues' next game will be against Cardiff City in the Carabao Cup quarter-final. This will be followed by a tough league clash against Newcastle United on the road.
