Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Gabriel Jesus is ready to start during the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Crystal Palace on Tuesday night.
The Gunners are presently top of the Premier League with 39 points from 17 games. They hold a slender two-point lead over second-placed Manchester City in the standings.
The club will now turn their focus to the League Cup quarter-final tomorrow and ahead of the encounter against Palace, Arteta has confirmed that Jesus could start from the off.
The Brazilian striker has made three substitute appearances since his long-term injury return, and could finally get the nod in the XI against Palace in the Carabao Cup quarter-final.
Jesus faced Palace at the same stage of the competition last season. He had a stellar night at the Emirates Stadium, scoring a hat-trick in a 3-2 win.
The 28-year-old went on to score another brace against Palace in a 5-1 Premier League win. He will be aiming to find the back of the net against the south London outfit tomorrow.
