Arsenal star Kai Havertz could make his injury comeback against Liverpool in the Premier League on Thursday night.
The Gunners extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to six points following their victory over Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium.
They are scheduled to host Liverpool at the Emirates next and ahead of the game, Havertz is widely expected to return to the matchday squad.
Havertz returned from a long-term knee injury to make the squad against Aston Villa, but the German was an unused substitute in the end.
The versatile ace was left out of the trip to Bournemouth due to workload management, but he is expected to return to the team in midweek.
Havertz is unlikely to make the starting XI for the encounter, but could be called upon from the bench if the Gunners find themselves in a good position.
Viktor Gyokeres is currently the first-choice striker for the Gunners. Gabriel Jesus has been the regular deputy in the last few weeks.
