Chelsea consider Ancelotti

31 May 2008 - 15:06

AC Milan general manager Adriano Galliani has admitted that Carlo Ancelotti is a target for Premiership side Chelsea after they sacked Avram Grant two weeks ago. The Italian boss is rumoured to be heading for the exit door too.

  • Enzo Maresca provides update on Enzo Fernandez's injury
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Nottingham Forest, Romeo Lavia starts

  • Chelsea have been linked with Frank Rijkaard and several other managers, but there is some support for Carlo Ancelotti in Chelsea quarters.

“Ancelotti is happy to stay at Milan,” said Galliani. “AC Milan does not sell its players, let alone the coach.

“It is true that Ancelotti was at the top of the list for Chelsea. True that the English team has had two coaches or Italians in their sights, and one is Ancelotti.”
