Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior has dropped goalkeeper Robert Sanchez from the starting line-up for the Premier League clash against Aston Villa on the road tonight.
The Blues are winless in their last three league matches. They recently suffered a disappointing 2-1 loss to Arsenal last weekend.
Sanchez had an average outing in the London derby and was partly responsible for conceding the winning goal with his poor positioning from a corner.
The Daily Mail now reveal that Sanchez's presence on the bench is a tactical decision and he has not been rested. Rosenior has made the choice to start Filip Jorgensen in goal against Unai Emery's side.
Chelsea are currently three points behind fifth-placed Liverpool, who suffered a shock loss at Wolverhampton Wanderers last night. They have a brilliant chance to jump above the Reds on goal difference with a win.
It won't be an easy challenge for the west London giants as Villa will also be desperate to return to winning ways after a 2-0 loss to Wolves.
