Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah has spoken about the importance of playing in the Champions League ahead of the upcoming game against Paris Saint-Germain.
The Blues have had a mixed campaign and they are currently sixth in the Premier League with 49 points, one behind Liverpool for the final Champions League spot.
Meanwhile, the west London giants are on the cusp of elimination from the Champions League this term. They are trailing 5-2 after the first leg of the last 16 against PSG.
Speaking ahead of the game, Chalobah said: "We want to be in the Champions League and competing in the best competition. Tuesday [against PSG] is going to be really important, and the league is as well."
The Blues host PSG in the second leg on Tuesday. They go into the game as underdogs, given they have to recover a three-goal deficit in normal time to stay in the last 16 tie.
Chelsea look unlikely to do so. It would require a mammoth effort to turnaround and defeat PSG, who are the reigning European champions.
