Blackburn has been linked with Sam Allardyce to replace Mark Hughes. Hughes has signed with Manchester City last night.

  • Sam Allardyce has been pointed as the man who Blackburn want to succeed Hughes. Big Sam has indicated his eagerness to return to management.



    Blackburn have begun considering potential successors for Mark Hughes, who is bound for Manchester City, and are believed to be assessing the claims of Allardyce, Paul Ince, Neil Warnock, Mike Newell and Alan Shearer.



    Blackburn confirmed yesterday that they had allowed Hughes to open talks with City and are expected to follow up their interest in Allardyce.

    Mark Hughes signed for Manchester City yesterday.



    Big Sam was initially contacted by Blackburn, less than six months after his sacking by Newcastle United.
