Chelsea plan swoop for Angelo Stiller

11 April 2026 - 06:22

Chelsea are expected to step up their interest in Angelo Stiller as the summer transfer window approaches, with the club identifying the German midfielder as a key piece in their long term rebuild.

  • Chelsea & Man Utd want to sign £90m attacker

  • Stiller has impressed in the Bundesliga with his composure on the ball, tactical intelligence and ability to dictate the tempo from deep areas. Still only in his early twenties, he already plays with the maturity of a seasoned midfielder, something that has caught the attention of several top European clubs. Chelsea, however, appear to be leading the race.

The London side are keen to add more structure and control to their midfield, an area that has lacked consistency over the past couple of seasons. Stiller fits the profile perfectly. He is comfortable receiving under pressure, can progress the ball through tight spaces and has the positional awareness to shield the defence effectively.

Sources close to the situation suggest that Chelsea are confident a deal can be completed, although timing will be crucial. Any move is likely to be pushed through after July, once financial conditions align and squad planning becomes clearer. This timing would also allow Chelsea to finalise outgoings before committing fully to the transfer.

Stiller is believed to be open to a move to the Premier League, viewing it as the next step in his development. Chelsea can offer him both a competitive platform and a central role in their evolving system.

If completed, the signing would represent another statement of intent from Chelsea as they continue to build a younger, more technically secure squad capable of competing at the highest level.
