Chelsea have been urged to sign Manchester City defender John Stones on a free transfer by former Premier League star Joleon Lescott.
Stones will formally leave the Cityzens when his contract expires this summer and he has been linked with a possible reunion with Everton.
However, several other Premier League clubs are monitoring him too and Lescott feels the Blues should bring him in for the experience.
He said: "I would sign him for Chelsea. He’s a top professional, top player, he’d have the respect of the group because of what he’s done, he’s achieved more than what they’ve achieved as a group."
Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella recently talked about the lack of experienced signings, which have contributed to the club's downfall.
There has been a particular focus on players aged 23 or below, and things have gone particularly pear-shaped for the Blues this campaign.
It remains to be seen whether the west London giants change their policy and focus on landing marquee signings, who can make a difference.
They have been linked with the likes of Rafael Leao and Morten Hjulmand, but the final decision will be made by the new manager at the helm.
