Exclusive: Chelsea have recently appointed Xabi Alonso as their new manager, and according to our own sources, the Blues' manager will make a move for a new goalkeeper this summer and has identified Dennis Seimen as his personal preference. The Blues have Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen on the books, but one could depart Stamford Bridge this summer.

  • Chelsea identify new number 1 as club plan new goalkeeper transfer
  • Liverpool to make move for Khephren Thuram
  • Filip Jorgensen is the more likely to depart, as the Danish international is reportedly frustrated at a lack of first-team football and has an offer to return to Spain to rejoin former club Villarreal and Europa League losing finalists Rayo Vallecano are also keen on the goalkeeper.

20-year-old Seimen caught the eye for SC Paderborn last season, the club that he spent a year on loan with from VfB Stuttgart. Seimen has yet to make his first-team debut for Stuttgart, and the Bundesliga side are resigned to losing the 6 foot 4 talent. With his pricetag now a reported 20 million euros, VfB will cash in before the end of the transfer window. VfB impressed in the Bundesliga in 2025/26, finishing a respectable 4th.

Eyefootball can exclusively reveal that Chelsea had deployed scouts to monitor Seimen since February and have been impressed enough to open talks with VfB Stuttgart for a permanent transfer.
