  • The Blues recently sold Marc Cucurella to Madrid and are expected to pursue a new left-back.

They have been linked with Carreras in the last 24 hours, but that appears to be only speculation.

Chelsea are not lining up an offer for the Manchester United graduate, who is happy to stay put.

Madrid manager Jose Mourinho also values the Spaniard and wants him as a backup to Cucurella.

Chelsea are expected to look elsewhere in the pursuit of a replacement for Cucurella this summer.

They have been linked with a reunion with Newcastle United left-back Lewis Hall in recent days.

However, a deal won\'t be easy to pursue, with United also keen on landing the highly rated left-back.

Newcastle are open to selling the talented youngster for a reported fee of around £50 million.

Hall is prepared for a new challenge after the Magpies\' dismal Premier League campaign.
