Chelsea are poised to land the signature of Crystal Palace defender Maxence Lacroix, according to French outlet L'Equipe.
The Blues have already strengthened their backline with the signing of Marco Palestra from Atalanta. The right-back is undergoing his medical.
Lacroix has been identified as the next defensive target, and L'Equipe claim that the Blues are on the cusp of reaching an agreement for him.
They are prepared to finalise a package worth £47 million for the centre-back, who has already agreed on personal terms over a five-year deal.
Lacroix was also on the radar of AC Milan earlier in the year, but the Rossoneri have other priorities and are focused on bolstering their attack.
Chelsea are likely to continue their spending spree after Lacroix and they could pursue a new midfielder if Enzo Fernandez heads for an exit.
The Argentine is attracting interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain and looks likely to head for the exit door this summer.
