Chelsea have confirmed the signing of experienced midfielder Jordan Henderson on a free transfer from Brentford.
The Blues have focused on adding more experience to their squad this summer and recently signed striker Danny Welbeck.
The 36-year-old was one of the leading strikers in the Premier League last term with 13 goals, but his move to Chelsea came as a surprise.
The Blues have now confirmed the arrival of Henderson on a free transfer. The former Liverpool captain was recently released by Brentford.
Henderson has penned a two-year deal with the west London giants, and he is already looking forward to giving his best for the club.
He told the club's official website: "I think there will be a big talking point with my age coming here.
"I hope by the time I leave everybody recognises what I can give and bring to this club. I’ll give absolutely everything everyday for this club."
The Blues are poised to make more signings. Rayo Vallecano left-back Pep Chavarria looks set to become their next arrival.
