Hull City look out for new blood

Hull City look out for new blood

09 June 2008 - 22:59

Hull City boss Phil Brown has admitted he may be looking outside of England and Scotland in his search for new recruits as the Tigers prepare for their first ever Premiership campaign.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip
  • Gabriel Magalhaes to sign new Arsenal deal

  • "We need to cast the net further a field and as far a field as possible when it comes to looking for potential signings," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail.

"The reason for that is so that in two or three years' time when we are being rung up by agents, I can say to them 'I've watched that player, I have scouting reports on that player and I know what he can do.'

"I don't want to waste my time fielding calls from agents telling me they have got the next Thierry Henry. I want to be in a position where I know who is out there and what they can do."
