Incoming FC Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has assured star striker Thierry Henry that he shall be given a place in the squad next season even though there are mounting specualation that the French international striker might be offloaded in the summer.
Henry was a flop in his first season at Camp Nou in 2007-2008 and the Camp Nou faithful would be glad to see the back of the former Arsenal forward. Even some of the club officials are disinterested to keep Henry on the club's wage list and want to get rid of them.
But acording to eports emanating from Spain, it has bee speculated that Henry has been assured of staying in Catalunya for next season at least. Pep Guardiola met Henry just before the star's departure for Austria and Switzerland to participate in the ongoing Euro 2008 finals for France and told him that he shall do everything to keep Henry at Barca for one more season at least.
