Queiroz coy on Portugal job

Manchester United manager Carlos Queiroz has decided to issue a "no comment" statement on the current rumours floating in the European press that he would become the new coach of the Portuguese national side.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • It has been reported widely in Portugal that the former Real Madrid head coach would take over from Luiz Felipe Scolari who has now left to manage the Premiership side Chelsea. Queiroz is currently the assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.



    Queiroz was coy on the links to the Portugal job and said:



    "it gives me great pleasure that my name is linked.



    “Have I been asked? I will make no comment.

    “I will not talk about this now as I am on holiday.”
