Real Zaragoza midfielder Pablo Aimar could still be on the way to England, as his agent confirmed that Newcastle were still very much in the market to land the Argentina international midfielder.

Gustavo Mascardi told reporters: “Newcastle have asked about Aimar’s situation — that is certain.



“There has still not been any formal offer for us and Zaragoza to study, but the Premier League would be perfect for him, and I want to speak with Newcastle to take things forward.”
