Hamburg are reportedly eager to sign Pascal Chimbonda from Tottenham. It seems that former Spurs boss Martin Jol is ready to raid his old club to bring in some new players.

Chimbonda could set Hamburg back as much as £4 million though, and Tottenham are known to be on the look out for several other defenders in Europe this season.



A move for Chimbonda would represent a big show of ambition for Martin Jol and Hamburg, who are battling to keep talented stars such as Rafael van der Vaart at the club.
