Spurs hit six goals past Cypriot outfit Anorthosis Famagusta in the first round of the Uefa Cup, with goals coming from Kaboul, Dawson, Keane, Bent and a Jermain Defoe brace finished the game at 6-1.

  • Three goals in four minutes at the end of the first half from Michael Dawson, Robbie Keane and Darren Bent, adding to Younes Kaboul's fifth-minute opener, ensured this first-leg tie was over at half time.



    Substitute Jermain Defoe added two wonderful goals in the second period, his first coming with virtually his first touch, to ensure Jol went home with a smile on his face for once this season.



    Anton Zlogar grabbed a consolation on 81 minutes, but it is almost certain that Spurs will be in the next round of the UEFA Cup.
