Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo is set to undergo an ankle surgery later on Monday in the Dutch city of Amsterdam.
Ronaldo has long since been troubled by ankle problems and has therefore opted to undergo an operation this month.
Ronaldo arrived in Amsterdam on Sunday night from Italy where he had been holidaying for the past few days.
Ronaldo's surgery implies that the player would have to undergo a rehabilitation process for the next six weeks after his surgery.
