Madrid based Spanish sports daily Marca have revealed that last summer while negotiating a deal with Ajax for Wesley Sneijder, Real Madrid also discussed the prospect of signing the young Dutch international centre forward.



Marca have now revealed that Real Madrid have the first refusal clause on Huntellar. This essentially implies that should the player decide to move anytime during his contract with Ajax, Real Madrid would have the first option to sign him.



Huntellar has been linked with a move to Manchester United this summer although Ajax are reluctant to leave their top striker.
