Aimar close to Benfica move

Pablo Aimar's agent has revealed that his client will soon be making a move to Benfica; as soon as the funds arrive in Real Zaragoza's bank account for the talented Argentinian midfielder.

It is understood Aimar will be joining for a fee in the region of £6.5 million.



“I’m awaiting at the moment a phone call from (Zaragoza owner) Agapito Iglesias telling me that Benfica’s money has arrived,” Mascardi told Portugese newspaper Record.



“As things stand, Aimar will be a player at the Portugese club.”
