WBA eye Traore loan deal

WBA eye Traore loan deal

29 July 2008 - 17:38

West Bromwich Albion are rumoured to be interested in signing Armand Traore on loan from Arsenal. The left-back is very highly rated by boss Arsene Wenger, but the French boss is keen to allow his fellow countryman to leave for a Premiership club for more first-team experience. West Brom have reportedly told the Gunners that Traore will be given a good amount of first-team football.

  • The Gunners will be reluctant to let the player leave on a permanent move, as they have ambitions for the player to become a first-team player and a member of the squad. However, next season, Traore is widely expected not to be too threatening to Gael Clichy's place in the Gunners first team.

There will be plenty of other options for Traore, as it is understood that Paris St Germain and Norwich could also both be interested in acquiring Clichy on a loan deal.
