There are reports on Monday morning that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could rekindle his interest in Nigeria forward Obafemi Martins this January.

Martins has been in insatiable form this year for the Toon, helping them to some crucial points in the Premiership.



Arsene Wenger is a long-term admirer of the former Inter Milan forward, and would love to pair up Obafemi with fellow African Emmanuel Adebayor.



It is understood that signing Martins could set the Gunners back as much as £14 million.
