Tottenham eye Arshavin loan

Tottenham eye Arshavin loan

13 November 2008 - 05:47

Reports this morning have suggested that Tottenham Hotspur could offer Zenit St Petersburg attacker Andrei Arshavin a swift exit from Russia, as Harry Redknapp may make a loan move for the Russian international for six months.

  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • Tottenham are expected to offer £3 million to Zenit, the UEFA Cup winners, to tempt the club into a swift deal.

Zenit have accepted that Arshavin is unwilling to stay at the club, and are reluctant to let the player leave on a permanent deal. Despite this, it is understood that nobody in the Premiership would be willing to pay the £25 million it is believed he would cost.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are both interested in the midfielder, and could still make offers for the player.
