Wigan move for Riise

Wigan boss Steve Bruce is apparently interested in signing former Liverpool defender John Arne Riise. The Norweigan international is unhappy at his current club, Roma, and could be allowed to leave for as little as £4 million.

The Wigan coach is looking for reinforcements this January, and Riise could be the answer. At Roma the player has genuinely struggled and Roma boss Spalletti has already hinted an exit could be on the cards.



At Liverpool, Riise was a first-team regular and the player has bags of experience in the Premiership.



All of these could tempt Bruce into making a January move for the player, who would be interested in a return to England.
