A desperate Arsene Wenger could make a shock move for Wigan forward Emile Heskey in the January transfer window. Arsene Wenger has grown frustrated with his misfiring forward line, and with Emile Heskey out of contract this summer, Arsenal boss Wenger is believed to be set to make an offer.

The bid will be in the region of £7 million to force Wigan boss Steve Bruce into a quick sale.



Wigan have been desperate to hang on to their talismanic England international forward, but the player himself has always hinted that he would like to try his luck elsewhere when his contract expires.



Tottenham and Liverpool are also understood to be monitoring the situation very closely.
