David Moyes may look to sign Portsmouth's unwanted striker David Nugent on loan in the January transfer window from Portsmouth. It is understood that if all goes well, he may even consider a permanent move.

At Portsmouth, Nugent has failed to take his opportunities and fallen down the pecking order.



Everton have lost Yakubu and James Vaughan to injury and Nugent has been mooted as a potential short term replacement for the pairing.



Whatever happens, Everton certainly need to bring in new strikers.
