Valencia to sign Cesar

21 January 2009 - 06:43

Valencia are set to make a move for Tottenham number 2 goalkeeper Cesar. It is understood that Harry Redknapp is prepared to let the keeper leave, and that a move back to his homeland is on the cards. Valencia's boss Unai Emery confirmed the situation.

  • The Valencia coach said: "We need to sign a goalkeeper because of the injury to Renan. We must also think about finances and the economic situation of the club.

"Cesar fits into these parameters. He already knows the Spanish league and he would adapt and be incorporated immediately. He would be ready to come and although he is 37 years old he is full of desire."
