Arshavin completes medical

Andrei Arshavin's move from Zenit St. Petersburg to Arsenal looks all set and the player is currently undergoing medical at Arsenal. But, Zenit has still holding out for a payment from the player.

Arsenal and Zenit had agreed a deal worth £15m for Arshavin. The conditions in the player's contract with Zenit has left Arshavin with a £3m to pay to the club.



The latest reports suggest that Arsenal might want to pay that amount to complete the signing. Arshavin has incidentally asked Arsenal to increase his wage from the offered £80,000 per week if he is to pay the extra £3m.



However, Arsene Wenger is still hopeful to land the player within the extended period to deadline offered by the Premier League.
