Henry loves 'Cesc appeal'

Thierry Henry has praised the quality of football Arsenal are playing. Henry has been particularly impressed with Fabregas' start to the season and expects Arsenal to be challenging for top honours this year.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • "It is their generation. It is their Arsenal now and it is up to them to win stuff - and with the team they have, I do not know why they wouldn't," Henry told TheGame podcast at the timesonline.

Possibly the greatest Arsenal player of all time, Thierry had many kind words to say about the club now that he has left.

20-year-old Fabregas has been a man inspired for the Gunners so far this season, and Henry says he was always impressed by former Barcelona trainee's hunger for success.

He said of his former team-mate: "When you look at Cesc and the way he plays, it is like he is 30, with the way he sees the game, the way he does everything. His mentality is already there.

"What I love about Cesc is that he does not like to lose, he really does not like it.

"If you want to be a winner and where he is right now, then that is the right attitude and that is why he is doing what he is doing."
