Jesus Gamez to Valencia

Jesus Gamez to Valencia

23 May 2009 - 01:47

The Malaga defender, Jesus Gamez, is being tracked by many teams in the La liga including Real Madrid, but, the latest news from Spain suggest that Valencia is more likely to sign the full back.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • The highly rated Spaniard was scouted by Real Madrid staff in Malaga's match against Valencia. Ironically, Valencia are interested in signing the player too.

Real Madrid already have a strong full-back in Sergio Ramos and a backup in Miguel Torres with Daniel Opare ready to step-up to the first team to take charge. It might be a tough move to the impressive Gamez if he choses to sign for the Los Blancos. On the other hand, Valencia might be a better option where he could play regular first team football.

Valencia are in a debt-crisis and are looking forward to sell a few of their top players including right back Miguel. Gamez could be a cheaper replacement for them and it would benefit both the player and the club.

Gamez has a £9m buy-out-clause, but, reports from Spain suggest that Malaga might be ready to negotiate for a bid near to £5m.
