Edin Dzeko to Newcastle?

Newcastle will reportedly offer £8 million for the signature of Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko of Wolfsburg if the Toon survive in the Premiership this season.

Dzeko has been monitored very closely by some of Europe's biggest clubs, but Newcastle will be the first to make an offer for the player.



Dzeko was partly responsible for Wolfsburg's Bundesliga winning season, chipping in with over 20 goals and forging an excellent partnership with Brazilian striker Grafite.



With Mark Viduka and Michael Owen both seemingly heading for the St James Park exit door, Dzeko would certainly make a perfect replacement for both.
