"I will stay" - Cristiano Ronaldo

24 May 2009 - 07:29

Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that he will stay with Man Utd - his home - and will not leave until Ferguson - his 'second father' - is the boss. The Portugese winger was linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer and earlier reports suggested that a deal worth £70m was agreed between Los Blancos and the player.

  • Chelsea want to sign Lyon star to replace Jadon Sancho
  • Arsenal want to bring Aymeric Laporte back to England

  • A few hours ago, Ronaldo, declared that he will not leave Old Trafford which is his home. He said that Ferguson was like a 'second father' to him and he has no intention to leave the club. Sir Alex Ferguson backed up the play by saying that he is not for sale.

"My heart is here. This is where I want to play. The boss believes in this team and so do I. Ever since I joined United he has been like a second father to me. People are still going to speak and make things up. But this is where I want to play. Manchester United is now my house."

Ferguson said that there was no contact from Real Madrid yet for the player.
