Sunderland eye Vela move

Sunderland eye Vela move

20 June 2009 - 08:50

New Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is hoping to use his relationship with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to positive effect at the Stadium of Light, firstly by making a move for Mexican international Carlos Vela on loan.

  • Man Utd star to sign new contract in next 24 hours
  • Napoli & Atletico want to sign Man Utd star for £24m
  • Vela has found his opportunities limited last season at the Gunners, and was merely on the fringes of the first-team squad.

However, a number of impressive displays when called upon has seen Vela the target of a number of clubs.

Sunderland are ready to pay £350,000 to take Vela on loan for the season from Arsenal.
