Tevez heading for Man City

Tevez heading for Man City

20 June 2009 - 11:59

The race for Carlos Tevez is well and truly on as Man Utd today confirmed that the player would not be staying with the club. It is understood that a fee of £25 million had been agreed by United, but the player's personal terms were too expensive.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Now Man City boss Mark Hughes is set to snap up Carlos Tevez in a £25 million deal and form a dream attacking partnership with Tevez and Robinho.

It is understood that City will meet the Argentinian's lofty wage demands of £125,000 per week to join the club.

Tevez had previously ruled out a move to Liverpool, and now a move to City seems likely.
