Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce is set to make his first signing since the departure of talismanic striker Roque Santa Cruz, by making Jerome Rothen a Rovers player before the end of the month.
Rothen, a pacey winger, currently plays at Paris St. Germain and has spent the majority of his career playing in Ligue 1 for the likes of Monaco.
Blackburn will offer £3 million for Rothen as they prepare to build a squad that will challenge for European football next year.
It is also understood that Hull City are monitoring the Frenchman.
