Liverpool are ready to make an enquiry for Davide Santon should Andrea Dossena, as expected, return to his homeland with Juventus this summer.

The Inter Milan defender Santon is regarded by many to be one of the best defenders in Europe and Jose Mourinho has informed the player he has a huge future at the club.



However, Liverpool are ready to pay as much as £15 million to bring the full Italian international to the club this summer, a figure that Jose Mourinho will no doubt be ready to consider.
